Home IV - At the Tatzelwurm

A roar sounds in the distance
between the rocks it thunders and rages
The clamor sings incessantly of doom
the eternal drop on the stone that rushes down into the valley
The narrowness of the gorge makes me tremble
the view so limited, it scares me
I feel as numb as behind bars
and below still the drop that whizzes down into the valley
At the Tatzelwurm where it screams and roars
where water flies down into the gorge
where fear fills the numb hearts
and a ghost named lindworm hunts through the woods
Smoke rises up like fog
they tell that a lindworm lives up there
but they only laid fire to a shelter

you cannot create a home by blocking doors
