Metallurgical Fire This is my favorite of the band’s albums. A masterpiece. Favorite track: Aschephönix.

YomaBarr And my friends ask me why metal.
But they also ask why I wander in forests. Favorite track: Ruinenfelder.

Shadow_Prince_666 Somehow, Waldgeflüster manage to be oddly comforting despite their depressing surface-level-atmosphere. Fitting with the name, it just kinda feels like taking a walk in the forest and just being alone with your thoughts. Favorite track: Graustufen Novembertage.

Gabriel Tamas I'm at a loss for words when it comes to talking about this album. I simply adore every single aspect of it, from the highly atmospheric instrumentals to the meaningful and at times haunting and desolate lyrics. The vocals on this disc are sublime to say the least, and the production is just perfect. An easy 10/10 from me. Favorite track: Weltenwanderer.
Obstacle of Affliction

Obstacle of Affliction I'm screaming inside because how amazing this album is. And an album I may have never experienced if not for the Nordvis subscription.
I am the classic Memerox man listening to this. That is to say, blown away.
And I have too say, damn, those breakdowns in Aschephonix are mesmerizing. Favorite track: Aschephönix.

Dieter Van Mechelen You know that feeling that you get when you look at a painting by Caspar David Friedrich? Here you get that feeling musically. Favorite track: Trümmerfestung.

about

Ruinen (Ruins) is a heavy masterwork of emotive and moving metal, a gem that blends a vast variety of different genres within the metal spectrum. With Ruinen WALDGEFLÜSTER venture further away from their origin and the traces of more traditional black metal fades away and leave place for a more promising sound with no boundaries. It's certain that Ruinen is a wonderful melancholic journey that has allowed WALDGEFLÜSTER to reach another level. A level where the sounds of atmospheric folk metal of artists like Falls of Rauros and Panopticon merges with the older doom/post-metal sounds of artists such as Anathema & Katatonia. One of the most interesting metal releases of 2016, no doubt.

about

Waldgeflüster Munich, Germany

Started as solo-project of Winterherz, but becoming a full band in 2014, Waldgeflüster shows an individual mix of melancholic and nature-bound topics. The project, which was founded in autumn 2005, renders homage to Black Metal and its complexity with every note and every word of the lyrical songs.
Waldgeflüster is Black Metal: emotional, profound, nature-bound…
